Nancy’s Old Fashioned

Stolen From: Paul Couture. Makes one stiff drink.

Ingredients:

3 Oz Canadian Club (varies)

½ Orange Slice, peel removed

1 Maraschino cherry

1 Tbs Maraschino cherry juice

1 Tbs Sugar

3 dash Bitters Seltzer Ice cubes

Directions:

Turn on a baseball game. Wait until the game is tied and your favorite player is batting with a 3-2 count with the bases loaded in the in the eighth inning (The more important the game, the better). It is now time to make Nancy a drink.

Ask Nancy which specific high ball glass she wants to use. Place the orange slice, cherry, cherry juice, sugar, bitters, and a splash of seltzer in the high ball glass. Muddle the fruit with a pestle or a wooden honey dipper.

Fill glass with ice. Add Canadian Club. Top off with seltzer Stir generously Wrap napkin around glass. Deliver drink to Nancy and utter, “Good night, Nance.”
